Aw shit! This is the tek 3 years that got me started with grain after doing 2 successful brf grows. I actually still have some pics of the jars that were knocked up with it...just to say that it can/does work.

and here's 1 tub that came from that..

I kept a single LC jar in the fridge for about 8 months and it was still going strong. I only made 2 in total, so I can't really vouch too much for them, but this kind of brings back memories
Anyways, I wouldn't recommend this method to any new grower...I think I just got lucky.
LC's do work, but they also fail more often than any other technique from what I have seen. Agar to LC I guess would give you a higher success rate, but seems kind of counterproductive and I haven't touched LC since going to agar, so

Of course you can't always see contams in an LC...that is pretty well accepted. Why would you go from spores -> LC -> agar when you could do spores -> agar -> LC and be assured your LC is clean from the beginning? Or just do what MudaFuka does and blend some colonized agar with sterilized water

A shower cap that's brilliant! You rock Otto! Are there any holes for FAE in the cap or how does that work?

Aight man. You're better off knocking up brf jars with a spore syringe than an untested LC.

This is the first way I ever did bulk 4-5 years ago and it was so easy I barely measured anything and used a salsa jar lol.

You purchase spores, LC is a Liquid Culture, which means the spores have already germinated.

Psshh dude screw LC haters. This is the first way I did bulk and it kicked ass. Grew a lot of mushrooms with it.

LOL yeah I only did it twice...it's not something I go recommending to everyone but I probably wouldn't have gotten into bulk near like I did if it wasn't for this tek.

It's already a live culture so it will grow faster than from spores since it skips the whole germination stage.

Trusted Cultivator said: Only reason agar work is intimidating likely is because a lot of the old hands were complete pussys about it for the longest time. Nothing we do in the entirety of shroom cultivation is hard. Children can do it, especially agar and pouring plates. LC sure a bit easier than pouring plates but both are easier than doing laundry.
If noobs are intimidated by agar and school failed to teach them the importance of looking for relevant, time tested, community supported information when researching then Idk they'll figure it out. They probably need to learn the hard way anyway
When i was a noob, LC worked out really well for me. That's why i kept using it.
If You look back At every post, i still agree agar is a better choice...
LC just works really well too. The proof is in the outcome. I still don't get why this upsets you guys so much?
When i wrote this, no one was using gladware containers for agar. You had to get glass petri's, agar powder and a flow hood or SAB.
Everyone has a jar and some honey lying around...
I used this because I didn't have a way to buy agar or a PC. I had a salsa jar and honey though. It was my first bulk try and kicked ass. Of course agar is better (duh) but LC's aren't obsolete like some people here think.
