Could someone give me some tips on growing this strain? Colonized on rye very well and fast. Cased with coir and oyster shell. Casing took off.. but not a pin in sight.Been almost 3 weeks now. Moisture content good, no contams. Ryche Hawk says"This strain not only does well in heat, but also in cooler temps outdoors." Sounds like compost may have been a better choice but ??? Thank you. Casings are at 74 degrees-78 degrees.

It won't be an air exchange problem anyway, cos PMs pin easily invtro. If you're sure it's getting sufficient light, then try sticking it in the fridge overnight for a few days running.

Plenty of light. Other Ecuadorians in same area are flushing. I scratched and put a new light casing layer on before I read your post. I'll let it recover a bit ... if no progress..I'll do the cold shocker in the fridge per your suggestion. Thank you

Scratching? Eeeg! I have/had a box of ecuadors which were refusing to pin, so I scratched.....now I have a 10 pound box of cobweb. Grrrrr. Good luck.

I'm adding this info to my initial question just as a record. Before I read the response to my question, I had scratched the casing.. I also injected water in random spots. Instead of cold shocking .. I increased the temperature to 84-86 degrees, The Plantasis Mystery began pinning immediately. After there was some contam beginning in the center of the casing , removed , damn.. center of casing was destroyed .Fortunately the rest is well, yielded 25 grams today, with a some more on the way. I guess PM does like heat! Smacking her lips!
