If you're including the legal right to buy firearms, I would suggest something in the 150 - 200 range.
That's great. You can be unarmed all you want. Me, I'm gonna be armed to the teeth.

being raised in the country, i have no problem with guns. i can remember a time when i didnt understand what it did.i remember at 5 seeing my grandfather kill a large pig. i remember being with my dad when he shot a deer. both were delicious, by the way. once you see what a gun can do in person, there really isnt a limit to the respect you have for their power. i was well versed in the propper use of a firearm years before i got my first rifle which was a .22 ruger. the day i turned 12 i was given that rifle. it wasnt loaded and didnt even have the clip in it. i took it and turned to my left with the barrel passing through where he was standing (if the end of the barrel went out forever.) he calmly took it back and told me why what i did was wrong. i received the rifle a year later on my 13th birthday. that was a serious lesson. but gun responsability is a serious topic.
i also started driving to the store for my grandmother when i was 12. granted, the roads werent paved and i rarely if ever met another driver. i was also never given an age limit on alcohol. i remember being very young and asking my grandad to taste his wine. he handed me his glass, i tasted it, didnt like it, and gave it back. i got drunk maybe twice in high school... both times it was new years eve.
i only hope that when its my turn, i will treat my children with the same respect and be able to give them the level of responsability always afforded me.
i hope this didnt come off as rambling. it is late and i have been studying javascript all night even though i have to get up and plow a field tomorrow

Full autonomy and civil rights should be assumed when demanded. The current place of youth in society is merely a re-emergence of where women were before feminism.
