heeeeey! ecuador is the shiiiiiiiiyat man! i lived there for 13 years... and well, there?s a lot to see... the galapagos islands are amazing... such fauna and flora is found almost nowhere else on the planet... but it?s a tourist nest... so if you dont wanna be around the tipical tourist, don?t go there... besides, its expensive... if you?re going to the coast, go to "monta?ita"... take a bus from guayaquil to get there... it is the hippie beach... lotsa partys, acid, coke and weed... and it is frigging cheap... youll meet people from all around the world there... then, go up into the mountains... near quito, the "valle de los chillos" [chillos (pr. chiyos) valley]... beautyful landscapes... and from september until december you?ll find beautyful "ecuador cubensis" growing everywhere... also go to ba?os... very nice thermal fountains... vulcanos, and so on... and finally: you can?t miss this one!!! VILCABAMBA ... its an insider tip... you?ll get san pedro there... really nice mescaline... and if you?re lucky you?ll even find a shaman who will make the ritual with you... sadly i?ve never been into the amazonian rain forest in ecuador, and therefore i don?t know what you can see there... but i?ve heard a few good stories... ayahuasca and stuff... but well... anyways, i hope this helped you... and i wish you the best of luck on your journey... have fun! and say hello from me to the people in monta?ita, will you? im ingo, the tall german... heiko?s brother... anyways namast? take care and god bless
