With two spawn jars of popcorn substrate being mixed into two seperate spawn runs with horse manure, what is the best option for a third jar (nearly fully colonized) which isn't needed at the moment? plan is to use it for it's own spawn run when the two current ones are finished, so need for it won't be for at least 3 weeks. Then plan is to use it for a spawn run of it's own, should it get put in the fridge after colonization or is the incubator the best place for it in your humble opinions.
As well, do many people take peices of spent or at least flushed once casings and then use that as spawn for another casing or casings?

You can stall a grain spawn jar, wrap in tin foil, to hold out light, place jar in freezer type ziplock bag, placed in a fridge.
Using a fruited out substrate, to spawn fresh substrate. Is about like using toilet paper TWICE. Not effective.

Fridge is great for keeping unused spawn. Just make sure contams can't get in. Spent casings' mycelium is old and weak. You want fresh spawn.

If placed in the fridge or freezer will colonization times be slower when it's brought back to life for a spawn run?

Don't FREEZE it. No.....NO....NO.....
Jar should be 110% colonized, BEFORE STALLING.

fridge. just think of it as a longer term cold shock. 3 weeks instead of 24 hours.
