Mushroom quality (blackening)

Alright, so I recently got an eighth of mushrooms and noticed when i recieved them that some of the caps had some blackening, almost to the same effect as frostbite on a human hand. I guess what I'm wondering is if it's freezer burn or perhaps bacteria meaning the mushrooms are contaminated. I've gotten mushrooms from the same person I got these ones from before without the blackening and had some great trips. Anyways I took half of the eighth last week and had a bad trip, not to many visuals but a whole lot of negative thinking and worry. I'm a pretty experienced user of both lsd and mushrooms and it was very much unlike other trips. Now tonight I'm contemplating eating the other half but the other half has blackening to and I want to make sure that it's not the compostion of the mushrooms that's causing the problem. Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Maybe you had a bad trip because you thought they were not so fresh. If it were for the shrooms going bad, you would most likely feel seek, not having a bad trip. See, you problem was a mind reaction, not a body reaction.

Sometimes the mushrooms appear black on the caps cause taller mushrooms in the grow drop their spores down and it appears as a dark spot. That might be the case.
