i've been trying to get somthing to grow now for a month, with no luck. My first batch of PF-Tek jars had one jar with a green spot, NOTHING in any others. The second attempt didn't even have a green spot to show for it. So i built an incubator, still no luck, distilled water instead of well (which is ozonated). I've tried agar cultures now with what i've come to expect as standard results.... I also tried cloning some store bought Portabella shrooms on it. I'm tring to inoculate some honeywater now... doesn't seem to be going anywhere. I'll cut my whineing short here in hopes someone will finishing reading the post and maybe think of the obvious thing i must be doing wrong... I'm not sure what contamination will do to a culture, but i did start slacking on total sterality after so many failed attempts.. I'm assuming that since nothing grows that i should fix that before getting totally clean, but am not sure if contamination will prevent mycelium from growing at all? If anyone finishes reading this and has a suggestion i'd love to hear it. Thanks,

this all makes me wonder where you got yor spores from...but if you've had success with cultures (petri dishes) i just don't know....jars are at 80-85 degrees farenheit...sorry man, i just don't know. maybe boiling water sloshed into the jars while sterilizeing? you've thrown wedges of colonized agar in the jars and STILL no success????? i'm clueless...

no, the agar was a no go too. Appreciate the post, incubation was set 85F, but i just lowered it to 80F...

I'll check into the spores, got them from Spore Works.
