USPS doesn't really radiate their packages. i don't think. at least not normal mail. i can tell you from experience that the big conglomerate shippers (fedex, ups, airborne, etc) don't do it. i think they save this sort of shit for customs.

If this is going to turn into a sponsor problem thread, I'll have to move this to the Shroomery Sponsors Forum. This is not the appropriate venue for sponsor complaints. Just some food for thought.
Shr00mSynErgy, perhaps you should have this discussion with our sponsor directly. I think you'll find they are quite reasonable and will do their best to help. This is assuming that it's their product of course. You wouldn't be the first person to fail at growing.

Just to make sure, you're actually inocculating some sort of substrate with the syringes, and not just trying to get culture in the syringes, right?

Ya, give us some info on your process.
Maybe you are not doing something else? you doing PF tek?
You aren't PC the inoculated cakes, maybe?
Or perhaps(what i did one time and i feel stupid about it) Not pay attention to your needle temp while innoculating. I once just lost my mind i guess one day and tried to knock up all my cakes without cooling the needle down first with an alcohol wipe. That sure was a waste of a day, and BRF, and the syringe.

WOW, your a little gun-ho Wronguy. I'm not blaming my source...what gave you that idea my friend???
.....anyways what i did is make 3 WBS/verm 1/2 pint cakes, pressure cooked them and all that good stuff, (oh, i made my own self-healing injector patches and little filter things before pressure cooking) ...let them cool completely, then inoculated them last saturday with a spore syringe. I then kept them at 80-83 degrees, and still i have nothing. no mycelium, no contams, just nothing. i'm stumped on these suckers. lol

Sometimes it takes 7 to 10 days for spores to germinate in Pf cakes.
No visible growth, after 2 weeks, I would worry.

Silicone sealant and micropore tape would work for a self-healing injector and filter patch.
ShrOOmSynEgry: Did you let the jars cool completely before inoculating? Did you properly hydrate the WBS before PC'ing? Did you rinse the sludge off of the WBS after soaking and/or simmering? Did you leave the substrate loose and fluffy or did you pack it down?
You got the spores from a legit vendor, so I would explore other possible problems before jumping the gun.

yep i did all that stuff. i had the DOC'S TEK up on my computer screen while i was going thru the steps.
....and thats exactly what i did for the injector site, and filter.
For the record (because some of you think that i'm blaming my source (SPOREWORKS)). the reason that i stated that i got them from there is just so you know. i am not blaming them in any way. (as a matter of fact i got some spores from them a little over a year ago and had great success) I know that they are reliable, i just thought that maybe the USPS iradiated them or something. (after the anthrax thing i think everyone upped their procedures)
hopefully that clears things up, and i wont hear anymore of this "don't jump to conclusions with your vendor, or dont blame your vendor bullshit. BECAUSE I'M NOT!
P.S. awsome avatar FooManShroom!!!! me likes.

...i know, but they add a lot of wait time...so therefore they suck to use on substrate.
spores are great otherwise though..

If I truly had a concern I would have moved this thread by now. I never said you were jumping to conclusions. I just gave you a friendly reminder that this is not the appropriate venue for vendor issues. Since you don't appear to have an issue with Sporeworks, why mention them?
It seems like you're making an awful lot out of nothing. If I had a problem with this continuing, you'd have heard from me by now. Chill out. It's all good.

well the first time i made an lc 3 out of 4 jars where fine. i would not consider it hard , but be mindful of contams, observe sterile technique, myself i did it right in my bed room just closed all door and window then ran my cheep little hepa filter for like 2 hours then , inocced LC With pf spores, waited about a week or so till i saw clumps of myc that where prolly about the size of pieces of rice then took my pf cakes and innoced them with LC, next time i do LC it will nock up WBS and Rye Berries. in seperate jars of course. now if i could get some free horse poo i would be stylin . or maybe some straw.
