How careful should I be?
    #521616 - 01/15/02 09:45 PM (15 years, 11 days ago)

I've tried to search thru all the posts but, this site loads really slow. I believe it's the site because I have a really fast connection... After the PF TEK cake method is all white and ready to be taken out of the jar how careful should I be as far as contamination goes?

I'm just hoping that I don't get anything on the cake but, as far as I see in a lot of pictures people don't look like they're worried about the cake getting contaminated. I usually see pics of the cake out in the open and such. Thanks!

Also, around the mycelium in the jar there's a lot of moisture around the mycelium, is this bad for the mycelium? Thanks again :)

You got it

After full colonization it's harder to get contaminated. Much harder. It can still happen though so just be careful and you'll be fine.

So... if one was to use an aquarium to be the terrarium, would he clean the inside out with something strong like bleach a while before putting the cakes in or just clean it with water and leave it at that?

bleach is extreme.. just get some dish washing liquid and wash it down with that.... rinse well and then rinse again and your ready...
