Important - Possible changes to Cultivation forums
    #520839 - 01/14/02 07:28 PM (23 years, 1 month ago)

We have been looking into re-arranging the current set up of forums for mushroom cultivation. As you all know currently we have for cultivation a regular forum (Mushroom Cultivation) and an Advanced forum (Advanced Mushroom Cultivation)

The problem right now is that there is just too much traffic in th Mushroom Cultivation forum, and I'd like to hear ideas on how we can do this better.

I was thinking of something like having 3 forums, like below:
1. Basic Mushroom Cultivation - For growers who are new to this hobby, if you've never grown before this is the forum for you.
2. Intermediate Mushroom Cultivation - If you've grown before and are familiar with the basiscs this is the forum for your questions.
3. Advanced Mushroom Cultivation - For very experienced cultivators and mad scientists to discuss new ways, methods, etc....

The titles and descriptions are no way set in stone, just an example of what I was thinking off the top of my head. If anyone has any ideas and comment I'd really appreciate your input.

This website is what you make of it, so don't be shy in voicing your thoughts

Thanks.

Great idea Thor. I think first timers would feel a little more confident in posting questions with a Basics forum too.

Thor
Check out what happens when you try to access the SURFCAM MODERATORS FORUM at http://www.surfcam.com.au/discussion/
I think password protected forums for mushroom cultivation would help sort everybody out.

sounds like a good idea, but i see a lot of newbies, placing simple questions everwhere including the advanced room.
if your trying to contain newbies i dont think that it will work.

if you have a "basic" forum, people who know how to grow won't go in it much, and novices will b lft with n one to awnser the questions
