dust to dust
but between the dust are dreams

some dreams are mild for a waking dance in the dust
and some rage full on madly while we sleep or trip.

what illusion?
all the magic is the same - all the dust is dust!
I don't get the whole thing about "illusion" unless the people were referring to some of the layers in mind seeming particularly thin or cartoonish.

i think the whole illusion thing refers to how we interpret or think about our individual reality.

what we observe isn't objective reality...so it is our own personal illusion of the objective reality (which...maybe there isn't one).

I find it funny how much Western society (and language) makes things into binary arguments. Either something is real or it's an illusion, either we're dreaming or we're awake.

I rather like to think of myself as all of the above.

Reality and illusion have no more absolute significance than up and down. We may arbitrarily choose a convenient line, say the surface of the ocean, to use as a standard between up and down; but it should be remembered that doing so is entirely a human invention.
