Ok i am new to mushroom hunting but i have read almost all the basic information, and i am in the process of ordering spores to grow my own. these mushrooms were found in my backyard growing in/under redwood branches and pines, the leafs from the tree covers the ground by about 3 inches, yet under the leafs and sticks there is White colonization and growth everywhere. these are a few of the difernt types of mushrooms that i found but i dont know witch if any are edible/ or halucinogenic pls help
the first http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c20/cameronjlehmann/shroom1.jpg these are relativly small mushrooms, there about 1-2 inches tall they have solid white stems, and dark redish/brown caps that are around an inch in diamater found in BayArea California the gills are also white
the second http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c20/cameronjlehmann/shroom2.jpg this is the only one of these i found in my packyard, buy i still have the mycelium bace, and can attempt to grow more if necisary it has a very flat cap, it is very very thin and brittle, this cap is about 2 inches in diameter, and it has 2 colors, the center being a little of white, with a yellowish outside, the stem is about 1 1/2 inches , and is white, the gills are also white.
the third http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c20/cameronjlehmann/shroom3.jpg is much like the first, it has the same coloring, but it has subtile diferances, along with being much larger, the cap is about 2 1/2 inches, and it is about 2 inches tall the stem is white, and the gills are an offwhite color yet they are not as dark as the cap, witch is a redish/light brown type of color, almost the color of a penny but a little lighter. all these mushrooms were found in bay area california any help would be great,or if u need more information regarding them to identify them plz ask.

None of them are active. The first one looks like it may be an edible species - possibly the blewit (lepista nuda) but the picture is blurry.. check a spore print color for it. It is not really safe to experiment with for beginners as it is possibly something else. It is difficult to be sure of anything from your second two specimens - even with the info you provided, there are still a lot of possibilities.

A really important ID criteria, which is missing from your post, is spore print color.
The mushrooms in your first photo could be Blewits, as Eris mentioned (purplish white spore print), Russulas (White spore print), or Cortinarius (brown spore print).
Photos should show the gills, stem, and cap of the mushroom. Very little can be discerned from seeing only one angle of the mushroom.
You can also describe how the mushroom feels. Can you bend the stem into a loop or does it break? When it breaks, is it stringy or does it break evenly like a piece of chalk? How does the cap feel? sticky, smooth, scaly, hairy?
Welcome to the Shroomery.
