(1) the implementation of the permanent ban on space-based weapons required by section 3; and

(2) progress toward negotiating, adopting, and implementing the agreement described in section 4.

SEC. 6. NON SPACE-BASED WEAPONS ACTIVITIES.

(1) space exploration;

(2) space research and development;

(3) testing, manufacturing, or production that is not related to space-based weapons or systems; or

That does not sound weird, just aptly prepared. The developments for hotels on the moon are supposed to be built in the year 2005, I think that was announced in 1998 or earlier. It is a huge hotel conglemercy with government backing. So in fact even though the government is backing to achieve the goal of a impenatrable spying vehicle, it will be profitible as well. Noone has yet to explain what other countries will be included or allowed to join this venture. Such a grand concept, I wonder why our government could'nt have adopted something earlier on earth?

It would be best to take the proper steps today to limit the development of those weapons (not just applying to America).

We should learn from our Japanese brothers, the creators of Gundam Wing. We don't want a situation like that, do we? :wink:

Maybe they will realize that earth is suspended in space, so they will ban all weapons on earth too. But then again, no one lives in space and there's nothing to hide behind in space (in our atmosphere). I guess people gotta protect whats theres (or at least what they think is theres).
