 Drying the kids

I've been using a fan and a dessicant chamber to dry my babies but I want to do it quicker. I've got a food dehydrator with heat settings. I read that using heat to dry them is bad but the lowest setting on the dehydrator is 95 degrees would this be to warm and cause potency loss?

Higher temps will decrease potencey. (same with bud)

That is not a high temp. Just put the oven on low, about 100 - 150. With the door open and the fan blowing on the shrooms, they never reach that temp. But the combination of warm air and air movement dries them very fast.

after ya dry them get one of those as-seen-on-tv vacuum sealer macheines that you store fod in to keep fresh ;)
works great :)
also, has anyone used a food dehydrator and did it work?

I have my boys under the fan right now and I will like to put them in a bag or container with the dessicant packets I have. Do i have to seperate the packets from my boys? Or can I just throw the packet in there with them and not worry about the two touching?

Maybe the guy has a plane to catch.
His question was how to dry quickly. Follow the Hurricane method if you are in a hurry. You won't notice any difference in the potency. It just doesn't get hot enough to affect it.

I dont want to get in the middle of this heated discussion ovber drying 
but my last 2 harvest I have dried in the oven, and also dried in front of a fan, with both I have experienced no difference in potency.
This is what I do
I take my shrooms put em on a pan...
put that pan on top of a pot
put the pot in oven with pan on top... the pot is so the bottom of pan dosent get too hot...
Then i set my oven to its lowest setting which is 170F
I leave the door wide open and a fan about 3 feet away on high blowing in, It must be a very strong fan....
What i do next is place a thermometer in the pan to make sure things dont get too hot.... YOU must stand and watch...
Every 10 mins i physically touch the bottom of the pan and the sides... If i can touch it and hold it it isnt too hot...
Temps never get over 100 in the oven,,, my shrooms dry in like 2-3 hrs and no loss of potency. Im not impatient, but I have noticed in front of a fan my shrooms get all ugly and take way too long to dry... This method keeps them looking nice and same potency in my opinion.
I ONLY recommend doing this if you place the pan on top of a pot... You must have a big minimum 16 inch fan, and put the pan/pot as far away from any heating elements as possible. My oven is electric so the heating element is on the bottom so I use the top shelf...
I have done this over 5 times allready and have experienced no loss when compared to fan dried shrooms.

I have a cheap dehydrator (20$) and I took the little heating part out of the bottom.It has 5 racks and a pretty powerful fan that keeps air circulating around them all the time.
BIG shrooms take about 2 days to dry, but I'm confident about not losing any potency at all.
