im not sure....but i think after prolonged use, it advances the aging process. im not positive though.

Depends on the frequency. I have posted this before, but note how few older shroomers there are. This is mainly because of abuse. Do them only a few times per year and make them special occasions (not the "Hey, I am bored, let's shroom and see a movie." scenario) and you can trip for life.

Overdo it and you will burn out and quit or do psychological damage. They have power. Do not treat them like a toy and one can learn much.

Oh come on, do you really believe this? Do you know why there aren't a lot of older shroomers? Because shrooms are, relatively, a newer drug to hit North America. Yes, they have been around a long, long time, but I'm willing to bet that until the 80's LSD was the drug of choice. Or maybe most people just grow out of hallucinogen use as they get older.

Whatever the reason, I highly doubt that abuse has anything to do with a lack of older shroomers.

"He tells me that mushrooms didn't gain that much popularity until he went to college in the early 80's. Even then acid was more popular."

That's exactly what I expected. With LSD being so insanely popular and widespread throughout the 60's and 70's (and into the 80's, I think) and so easy to get, it's no wonder there wasn't much popularity for mushrooms.

I think it's also worth noting that older shroomers (and drug users in general) are more likely to keep a low profile. They've got their suppliers (or are self-supplied), they did their research 20 years ago, and they've got no reason to be here. Moreover, they've probably got more to lose (financially, socially, etc) and keep a lower profile. I bet there are quite a few older trippers---they're just laying low.

This was funny to read, yes old people frequent this place, no it does not promote hair loss....Indians and Mexicans use mushrooms next to mescaline more than most and I must ask .. Have you ever seen a bald Mexican or indian? Last, the only long term damage I would be able to describe would be a gut feeling to slow down and use the"Tool" as a fun and helpful guide to a better life.....

Excellent point about our elders keeping a low profile. I know quite a few older druggies....shroomers and otherwise. They generally keep in with a tight crowd and don't broadcast their passtimes like us youngins. :)
I have yet to learn of any adverse effects from mushrooms...with the possible exception of using too often. I don't really believe that it will cause psycological damage the way LSD can, but it is possible....and even if it doesn't, it would suck to use mushrooms out of habit with little novelty or REAL enjoyment. I prefer mine few and far between so each trip is just that...a trip. If you want to burn yourself out like a junkie, go get spun. :)

Yes. Yes I have seen a bald indian. Running Shiny Dome was his indian name. He always has the best stories...

I would only danger is psychological

if you expand your mind to often
the neural networks opened on shrooms
stay open.

Your linear thought patterns to operate properly in society
become degraded.
