Possible problem with Incubation cycle
    #517762 - 01/11/02 07:22 PM (22 years, 11 months ago)

I'm not sure if this is a problem yet but 3 days ago I started the Pf tek. I put 12 inoculated jars in my closet at 85 degrees. The humidity in the closet is at 30%. I peaked in my closet tonight to see what has happened. Well nothiing has happened and the jars were dry on the inside. I thought there should be moisture on the inside of the glass. Can I put the jars in a cooler on top of perlite to raise the humidity? Or what should I do.

what were you using for heating?
Go to randalls buy a 5 dollar cooler and use that in conjunction with a aquarium heater.

Also lay the bottem of the cooler with perlite

Well the latest update is my jars are still dried out. I put them in a cooler and raised the humidity to 90% but they stayed dried out. Oh well I guess I will start over but this time I will make sure I put them in the in a humidified container.
