I just got done harvesting my first flush from casing "A". I thought the KS would be larger. I remember seeing one of RycheHawks pictures and them being huge. I searched for some pics here on the Shroomery and found that small fruits were to be expected. This flush is actualy a pretty decent flush. Here they are:

Casing "A" was harvested yesterday, casing "B" is starting to fruit. Following are pics from both the remnants of casing "A" and the small fruits developing on casing "B". abhorts on casing "A"
Casing "B"
As usual I could use some advise/help. My questions posted here from a couple days ago still remain unanswered. Here?s my new question: My casing "A" is full of water logged abhorts, I am concerned that they will act as a wick for contams. I am thinking of scratching or removing the top layer. I really don?t know what the best method would be, do you? Joshua

Pick all of the aborts with clean hands and patch the bold places and the side of the try where the casing polled away. Mist and place into a moist terrarium.

I wouldn?t listen to Anno, whose mushrooms according to photographic evidence only grow 4-6 feet tall. Clearly has no knowledge on the subject:) Gosh Anno, your pictures get me buzzed.... Anyway, yeah Koh Samui?s are small and twisted but give a good trip, especially in nature (like most shrooms I guess). Eat what you think you wanted, and then two more and you will get good visuals. Eatem fresh too, with limeade concentrate and one of those fruit wines like wild vines or arbor mist all blended up. Brings back memories.... my friends memories of course

I harvested casing "B". I really like the character of the KS strain. These appear to be nice specimens. I am taking prints on slides, if you want this strain and have something to trade let me know. 24 Hrs after previous pics:

Nice shrooms they have unusual edges to their caps - almost as if they have been cut . How long did it take to get pins from you making the casing ?

The timeline can be found w/i this thread. I posted pics from casing to fruiting, each post has the date and time. I?d estimate 8-10 days. Joshua

I?m going to print these. I can?t get over how beautiful this strain is. I saw so many gnarled-funky pics of this same strain. I?m glad these are turning out so nice. I could go for larger flushes, but I?m happy. Casing "A"
close-ups
Casing "A"(left) and "B"(right) Notice the incredible sporilation laying across the two trays.

11-12 cm tall, 3.5 cm diameter cap. I has hoped for shrooms like Rychehawks. I need to get proficient at dung/compost growing. Joshua
