That's a tall order. Either raise the heat in your home/apartment to reach what you need or employ the use of a space heater to do the job. Unless you can find some heating mechanism that runs on batteries, but good luck.

You have to get the energy from somewhere, and even a car battery would have trouble heating a TiT for extended periods.

A very good, fully charged car battery would give you 250 amp-hours at 12V. So that gives you about 3 kWh to work with (3,000 watts over an hour, or 1,000 watts over 3 hours, etc.) This means that for a 100W submersible heater, you're looking at about 30-60 hours of use, depending on how efficient your inverter is (you'll need one of these, too) and how often the heater has to kick on.

EDIT: Standard car batteries have only 100 amp-hours, so that would further reduce your use time to 12-24 hours.

Bottom line: You'll have to find a way to harness solar power, or you'll have to run cords.

If your only option is to be able to heat it at night then you could atempt to highly insulate what ever you have as a setup. I highly doupt that would work at all because you would not be able to keep a constant temperature. The other option would be a propain or gas heater which would not be a good idea to leave unatended. In short you shouldnt be doing this if you dont have the proper environments to grow in.

One of my friends uses hot water from central water run for heating his grows. He laid thin plastic pipes from the water terminal to his growing facility. It is acceptable in houses and apartments with no water meters (actually, the most of apartments in my city haven't any watermeters). Not so good because he wastes a lot of hot water, but really why not if you have to pay for any bit of electricity by a meter?

You can heat at night. Keep it well insulated and keep a buffer between the heater and the container. The buffer will absorb heat at night and take time for the heat to make it to the container, the buffer will absorb heat and slowly release it during the day, by the time it drops it should be plugged in again. You just have to play around to get the buffer size and insulation correct.

Run the electric cord under the padding of the carpet, mommy will never see it.

if you have access to thick flat stone like marble or slate or something like that, it will retain heat for a long time, especially if well insulated

Well, maybe if the tub is in a closet you could put a oil lamp in there. Just make sure there is no way that anything flammable can get anywhere near it. A oil lamp flame could warm up a closet nice and fast.

One of these would be safe if used properly.

If you don't trust yourself to use a oil lamp in a closet don't do it. I can see it now on the news local teenager burns the house down trying to grow magic mushrooms with fire. lol.
