Jeremy Narby makes an interesting hypothesis and tries to correlate knowledge gained from hallucinogens to real-world knowledege, particularly plant-based chemistry. He uses curare as a prime example of the difficulty of accidentally discovering such a poison; therefore it's compounds and proces must be mystically transmitted whilst tripping.

Perhaps this is so, but ayahuasca was generally developed in an area devoid of single-plant entheogens such as psilocybin. In other words one would need ayahusaca to tell them how to make ayahuasca. Of course, he cleverly sidesteps this "chicken-or-egg" paradox, by pointing out that other trance-inducing methods such as fasting and drumming might also give one access to chemical dreams, but there is no history of this happening in any other culture. Nor do the Amazonian shamans themselves achieve deep trance by merely fasting & drumming.

Very interesting, I always wonder how these so called "primitive people" figured out how to make all those complicated substances, like ayuasca, and poisoned darts etc.
There maybe devoided of single-plant entheogens, but some tribes, use the secretions of a frog, perhaps that?s one explanation.

I'll go out on a limb just a bit here...

I have had "help" from time to time ( actually all the time ) from unseen "angels" who are in charge of certain "things" "activities" "substances" etc.,.

Whenever I get some insight that kind-of speeds me ahead with whatever I am doing.... ....it's not really "my" insight. It's the angel giving me a hand. .....Tannis

The chicken came before the egg i think. I dont remember exactly, but i dont remember the bible saying god put a bunch of eggs here! the creation in the bible is not out actual creation, its god's answer to that exact question.
