Just curious as to what common species of edible (magic or not) mushrooms grow in eastern VA? Does anyone know of a mycology club in the eastern VA region?

Well, there are too many edibles to even name here, a few of the more choice edibles in your area would be morels, chanterelle, oysters, couple different agaricus, and many more I'm forgetting right now. You also have a chance of finding Psilocybe caerulipes, Panaeolus subbalteatus, and a few Gymnopilus, all active.

I'm not sure about a mycology club in your area, I know every state has one and more common a few, you'll just have to look around, I'll check on it and get back to this post with any info I find.
