Not sure where you are, but around here it's ~$7/ft2 installed if I remember right.

Ok well let me give you the run down. They baught the flooring. I installed, i moved the furniture around, wich is a bed, 3 dressers and two night stands. Total of 223ftsq. That includes a bathroom, a walk in closet, bedroom, and two small closets. Not to mention i had to clean up dog crap several times. I used my own saws and tools, and also spent money on floor leveler and silicon. I also had to remove molding.
at 7 dollars foot. Does that include supplies and flooring? Or is that just for instalation?
What about the dog crap, and the other random small things she had me do. Like putting up a cabinet and light switch plate?
She is a dog breeder and has 20 3,000 dollar shitzues. Her husband is a lawyer.
Lawyers have takin at least 3000 dollars from me..... with out any problem doing so.
I want to be faire, but i also wanna be fair on myself. I hired a helper at 10 an hour for 14 hours...... It took me about 20 hours to do the job.

The $7 is flooring + installation. But that is for one kind. There are different types and some cost more, some cost less. Since you didn't buy the materials, that is totally irrelevant now that I think about it.
Since you just installed you're only charging for labor. Recoup the $140 for your helper, and charge whatever rate you want for your time. I'd say $20-$25 per hour is good. 20 hours = $400-$500, plus $140 for slim and you got $540-$640. Seems right around $600 would be good, but whatever you feel is best. Sounds like you had to do some extra BS, so maybe $750 if you're feeling frisky.

Cool. Avoid the high charge and secure the future jobs. Don't forget to give them some business cards so they spread the word. And let it be known that cleaning poo will require hazard pay next time

$1600, moving the furniture and the poop equates to about $500 in labor, it didnt take long but it slowed you down from completing the job in a timely fashion. you're installing flooring, not poopie movers.

750 is really cheap
break it down, pergo runs about $2 a foot, your labor is $5 a foot, 233x5=1165 add in the time and trouble for moving furnitute and the hassle of the dog shit (your laborers cost is included in the $5/foot)

I believe around $22-23 per hour is the going rate around my area (IN). If you live in the New Orleans area, I hear its quite a bit over $30...

do it too cheap and they feel they have shoddy work, too high and you'll still get the jobs, you just have to pay more attention to details and make sure it's 100%.

with flooring it's charged by the square foot, you can do it fast enough that it will exceed $50/hr in labor, with new orleans, people are gouging the insurance companies, thats why they're charging more.

quite serious, every remodel or construction job I've done has been go in and do nothing more than what my job is, with the glass company, I install a frame, secure it into a header and footer, if i have to install the header, there's an additional charge, if I have to tear out something to put my material in, extra charge. With flooring, if I have to tear out anyting to put down the new, more money...
you put down a floor leveling compound, when I was in concrete repair, that would have cost about $1000 for 200sqf

thats what the company caps people at, believe me when I tell you the company makes money from the materials and more off your labor, if you get $10/hr, they get a minimum of $15, most make a great deal more.

they make saws for cutting under door jambs and stuff, I prefer to cut them by hand but I'm very weird about quality, 2 hand saws I've to be indespensable are a Ryoba and a Kataba, japanese saws cut on a pull stroke, they have a very thin blade and cut better than anything else I've used, the kataba is ideal for door jambs, it's blade is very flexible, place a piece of scrap under the blade, butt it to the jamb and start cutting, it leaves about 1/32 of an inch clearance
http://www.fine-tools.com/kataba.htm
you ban buy a ryoba at home depot and lowes now for about $20
