Posts from that 5% of the globe account for what???....90% of the posts in this forum. should it not be assumed that walmart or something similar is an option? If it is not, don't be a jerk, simply say that it is not and ask for an alternative.

Polyfil is pretty damned easy to find, at least on the 10% of the globe I've seen. It IS a household alternative to lab. grade filters. Maybe you should read more FAQs/TEKs, and get over the idea that you are special. And don't be in such a hurry to do something without collecting the proper materials BEFOREHAND.

Snaggletooth...cheers...ill give that a go.

So, wait...

Holydiver is supposed to magically already know that you live in another country?

Either way; Holydiver said that polyfil -is- a household item, and listed a household item store in which you can buy said household item at a household item price. Woah, what kind of store sells a household item, at a household item price? Oooh, I know! A general store!

Come on! 2+2+2=5? There are no general stores in Australia?

Before you start bashing Holydiver, or any other 'typical American', I want you to do us all a favor and pull your head out of your ass.

Thanks bro!

Mate - there is a simple solution to your problem. Swap the Wal part of the mart with a K.

Ring any bells? There has to be at least 100 k-marts near you. Otherwise, I saw a big bag of it in Coles once, or go to any pet store and ask for fish tank filter wool -

Be a little nicer mate - they might be Americans but they're ok.... And actually put some effort into researchng your product. Polyfill is very very easy to get hold of.

I am sorry.

i used plain old cotten instead of polyfill.. used it to cover up the holes in my terrerium for air exchange, just make sure you use alot and leave pretty tight so that nothing gets in
i also spray a little of alcohol on the outside, im paranoid about contams... you can never be toOoOOO carefull...
good luck....... peace

Cotton is far more dangerous, it will wick contams much easier.
Best to stick with the inorganic fiter materials if at all possible.

I am using just brown, boiled, whole rice grains. Just becareful not to put to much water in the jar, otherwise it slows it down. Pretty white...I'm happy :-)
