sitar is actually not very difficult to play.. if you can play guitar.. you can play sitar. It just looks daunting because it has so many tuning pegs and strings.. but it's actually pretty easy. It's an awesome instrument to just sit down and jam out on or trip out to.. with some hand drums.. hell ya. As with any instrument the key is just being creative. I would definitely get one if you are thinking about it.. they are fun to play, and sound wicked.. you would probably love it.

I purchased a sitar a few months back.Its a beautiful and wonderful sounding instrument.I havnt yet learned to play it but im messing around with it a bit.I think you should get one if you want a new intrument.The sounds they can produce are so beautiful..

i just got one for xmas and i love it. teachers are surprisingly hard to find where i am. if there is anyone who can teach who lives in or near bloomington, IN send me a pm.
