Casing drying out after flushes

Is it true that u aren't supposed to mist a casing while it's pinning or they will abort? After flushing, my friends casing is really dry and he mists it but then it starts to form pins and it still feels a little too dry. What should he do?

No, it?s not true.
Just don?t heavily spray the pins themselves, but you can mist the surface.
