Hey everyone, I wanna put together a site where it lists the all time best trip tips. The site is called Orange Beer Helmet (don't ask). You'll get credit for your tip, so just post what your fav is and whatever name you want it credited to and you're on the site. I'll show you guys when I'm done.

Go outside!! Best tip I can give. All the toys and all the music in the world can't even begin to compare to a starry night where you can just sit back on the grass and lose yourself in nature.

I agree with juggles, going outside is the best tip ever. When you're outside you can go where ever you want; going into a dark forest(really cool!!) or just walk around your neighbourhood. There are so many things to see when you're walking around.
I also love talking on shrooms; everything you say comes out really fast and fluid and because you say the funniest things you'll laugh your ass off!
When coming down I love to play my accoustic guitar with my eyes closed. It sounds so bright and pure and creates wonderfull visuals.

if you feel uncomfortable or akward close your eyes and go to your happy place if not already smiling open ur eyes and sputter out some crazy words or noises
lay around with floyd playing and a black or red or whatever color light u like on, now communicate with ur friends without speaking
electric guitar- muti_effects pedal- amp on low
take a hike up a mountain
take a hike thru the city at night
charge up yur glow stuff like stars and moons, split them up between the group, turn the lights off and throw them at each other!
once u are experienced with the group try a 4+ grammer ALONE!!

-a nice, soft place to(if you choose to) lay on, such as a a really padded bed, lots of blankets layered on wach other, or a broken-in old couch.
-some nice, relaxing techno or trance music, like aphex twin's remixes of autechre songs, also dave matthews band music and other srelaxing stuff like that.
-blacklights, glow in the dark paint, party lights and other lighing effects. Lights from the DJ section at a musical supply store are great. stuff from spencer gifts is good too.
-trippy/fantasy movies like momento, fantasia and maybe lord of the rings are good too.
-NATURE!!!!!! go out in the woods, become one with "mother earth" roll in the grass with your best friends, play in the mud, hump a tree. watch a sunset. the natural world is the best trip toy you could ask for.

A dark room! Make sure you have two dark rooms in your house. The best tripping mood is when your just listening to music in a barely illuminated room. Then go into a totally dark closet or something where NO light is and just veg out there in total blackness. It is insane!

I recently discovered that looking at a high school yearbook is trippy as fuck, all the faces are melting and shifting and morphing into each other. This is now my current favorite trip toy and I'm going to do this every time I shroom.

my bedroom is a darkroom even when im sober. once the sunsets, i dont turn on my lights except for some colored chrismas lights i have on my wall, some blue rope lights from target on the other wall, some blacklights and 2 lavalamps. the main lightsource in my room is my computer screen :-)

Well, I can't believe I'm the first to mention this but here is a recipe for a fantastic giggle fest:

Put in your favorite tunes loud, but not too loud. Just nice. I prefer incubus/pink floyd/mudvayne(I'm weird)/led zeppelin and etc. Now get your vcr, dim the lights and pop a video into the VCR. What video you ask?

MR FUCKING BEAN
You don't even need to have the volumn up to watch mr. bean tapes, it's PERFECT for shrooms, rowan atkinson is a comedic god.

Oh yeah and nature, nature is always good.

I'm going to second...err...fifth that point about Nature. Nature is the all time greatest triptoy. However, I would like to go a step further and say trees. Not evergreens mind you, but "real" trees. Trees love to toke up, and this is especially awesome while shroomin. If you are one of those paranoid potheads....or just don't want to mix your pleasures, it is still a fantastic experience to simple set and have an intellectual conversation with a good tree.

Nature, people (friends specially) and music. But specially nature, it's like a portal that shows you the real life in nature, all nature moves, it's really alive, you can touch it. It shows you the sensations and even thoughts of others, if a person act with love you fell it double, if he acts with angry you fell too. The combination of friends, songs and nature is perfect. But like said before, don't drive nor go into a pool or something like (river for example). It's something that will really change your life! It's something much more than drugs, it's "manna"!!!

I have to say, if you have 2 of them...toy lightsabers kick ass. Go camping, then when it's pitch black in the woods, you and a friend each take a lightsaber and walk around separately until one of you gets the drop on the other one. A sudden attack out of the dark can be real fun. All you can see is this 2 foot swath of light and an eerily backlit face that's trying to kill you! I assure you...when you're that high, you're not playing with toys. You're a fucking Jedi master fighting for your life.

bottled water is a good thing. i always want water when i'm tripping and sometimes a glass is very easy to knock over... hehe. something you can close up and throw wherever is a good thing.

feather pillow- they mesh into whatever shape you want them to, and sometimes they even become a part of you. aah, very comforting.

1. If you're going to hippy flip (shrooms and extacy), i like it in this order: e first, and, just as it comes on, eat the shrooms. The e maximizes your happy vibes so you have a good trip. For me, anyway.

2. I don't know who posted this, but it's on this forum somewhere. If it's you, and you're reading this post and thinking "that bastard is stealing my idea" by all means, speak up so that i can give credit where credit is due. I really like this idea (but it's cold here right now, so i can't put it into practice just yet). It's a game called "Hide the box". Take a battery powered stereo (preferably cd player) out into the woods with you're friends and a big baggy of shrooms. Consume shrooms, and have one person load up some tunes and hide the stereo in the bushes. When you're all good and fuckered, try to find the stereo. Do this at night to create a bigger challenge.

Those are my favorites.

This really reminds me of a variant we played at a friend's house one night. We used a Furby...man those things are fun. they talk to you and react to various stimuli like vibration and noise. It's really funny hunting for this thing for hours, hearing it say something every minute or two. We hid it all over, in the freezer, in the ventilation ducts in the floor. Felt like a search and rescue crew looking for an 8 year old. And it's really rewarding when you find it, cause it'll strike up conversation immediately.

my favorite thing to do is take a trash bag roll it up really tight and small..hang it from a tree branch put a bucket of water under it and light the bag on fire..itll start to drip flames really slow and begin to speed up really really really fast..the best light show you can get without glow sticks and all that fancy shit..

I've done this with a plastic grocery sack and a big pot, I usually end up making a mess tho, your idea sounds much cleaner, I love it plastic buzzes to water with a nice splat, crazy ass tracers following the falling star.

Here's a cool thing I seen at a rave I went to last spring,You need two people one will take one of those 5 foot aluminum dryer vent tubes and one person holds it up to their face while another puts a glowstick in his hand(or more) and sticks his arm in the tube and begins moving it along the music work with it a bit you can get really fucking trippy things going, there was also some vics in the tube to for the rollers, this fucking thing was crazy I ate two blotters about half hour before the rave and this was about at 3+ hours into the party when I looked into this thing I was tripping HARD, I was stuck to it for what seems like hours.

Nature! Out in the woods all by yourself. make tea! transport in arizona tea bottles. drink tea about 20-30 min before you plan on getting there. Bring backpack with munchies, pipe, reefer, whip-its. if you wanna go all out, bring a small radio. you shouldnt even need music though. Make a day of it. plan it a few days in advance. Take 6g's! and you wont even need the food,smoke, or music. Bring a blanket and lay down under a tree and watch the sun go down on the comedown. might want to smoke then. Dont drive, have friend pick you up or something. oh yeah bring bottled water! and wear something comfertable. "that was a great idea Thurgood!"

Take a medium sized dose and play a session of Dungeons & Dragons with a few other trippers. You can make some pretty vivid descriptions and visualize the situation moreso than if you were sober, which can be damn trippy!

Lisen to how fucking perfect my room is...
It has no "normal" lights, they're all replaced by black lights, I have a lava lamp, its kinda weird cuz it doesn't have lava instead its got gliter and the water is read but it makes cool effects on the walls and still looks nice

I have really cool pictures like floating castles, upside-down waterfall (look at one before you ask) spiny things that make things look trippy and afew more things. I have ben bag chairs and a buble/fog maker (it makes both not that I dropped it 469832159687 times) .

What else could you ask for? I have my music playing w/ suround sound (or pretty close)

Man my room is so sweet. I have DVD player, PS2, Surround sound (2 subwoofers >:]), VHS, Large Screen TV, I have a bean bag chair covered in about 4 blankets (so damn comfy) X-mas lights (green + blue) hanging all over my ceiling.

Nothing beats surround sound blasting Lateralus and watching the X-mas lights dance while chillin in my bean bag chair pile.

If you're tripping alone at night, turn out the bathroom lights and get it as dark as possible, to where you can't see your hands in front of your face. Stuff towels under the door or whatever you have to do. Then take a relaxing hot shower.

When I trip I go for something differente everytime, of course it always is, but try different things. Last trip I was with 3 of my friends, we smoked, went out to his garage (its all white) and I watched them all do funky moves/dances, hard to explain with this tennis-ball, moving around it and such, its was crazy, the garage was about 12ftx12ft and all white, it totally blew my mind , the room contained no shape, It was just being, and I felt I was part of the room, well, thats the best I can explain it, b/c you really cant explain...an excellent trip.

Overall, the one thing that determines the outcome of your trip more than anything else, is your state of mind. Getting yourself all pysched up before and during the trip will have a HUGE effect. I think most highly experienced shroomers know this. Other than that, nature is the ultimate trip toy. Also, the darker it is, the more visuals you will see.

A house of mirrors with 4 kids on ten strips is entertaining until they ask you to get the hell out.

Have someone who owns a motorcycle take you out on at least an 1/8th through a brightly lit highway MAN ITS SOO FUCKIN KOOL had to keep from lettin go a few times but i was kinda lashed on.

Fireworks are neato,

but the natural kind especially in early morning hours

Outdoor trance parties.

This way you get the best of both worlds: nature AND music. Out where I live on the East Coast we don't get many of these, but I hear out in Cali and Arizona they have them once in awhile. Of course they have tons in Europe, Israel, Japan and of course, Goa. You can also find big festivals in Africa and Thailand.

I went to the big Solstice festival in Japan last summer where a number of great trance acts were playing. The festival area was surrounded by forests and mountains, with Mt. Fuji rising majestically to the west. As the sun started to rise everything was covered in fog and mist, which slowly dissolved to show Fuji in all of its glory. I was on a Level 3 dose of shrooms and it was fucking incredible: the music, the people, the scenery. I felt I was in some kind of fantasy land that blows Lord of the Rings, etc. out of the water.

The nice thing about these parties is that if you ever get tired of the music and the freaky people, you can wander off somewhere and look at a tree or stare at the clouds. When you get your energy back you can go and stomp your ass off.

Best thing i have done is First fill up a tub(befor you munch on yoru shrooms) plug it off.. go munch on your shrooms.. once ya feel the on set go to the bathroom and get in the watter(clother or not) and just sit there in pitch black.. you will think you are in space.. then once that gets lets say less fun.. with your foot let the water out.. you will feel like you are falling to earth... towl off and go enjoy rest of your trip.

Have any of you ever tried looking at your posters tripping? I've got a little Fear and Loathing poster with Raoul Duke in his car, and I lay on the floor staring at it and it looked like he was turning his head to talk to me. Also, my friend had an Alanis Morrisette picture *drool* I spent about half an hour watching her morph into this super hot demon chick with red eyes

driving is my favorite trip toy even tho i know its irresponsible. I fuckin hallucinated a gigantic bridge on a tiny country road. Very kool. Line in the middle of the road turned into a snake that was chasing behind my car and I had to go faster to get away from it. Weird shit like that but if I ever started to get a bad trip if i went driving it would make it better.
