I hope you guys haven't done this before. If you have, my fault (and somebody please delete this). If you haven't done this before (or just want to do it again) post a pic of your dream bong.

Please say where you can buy it and how much it cost. If you already own your dream bong and you don't want to give away where you bought it (especially if it's somewhere local) that's cool, just say how much it cost.

I'll start . . . They have this one over at grasscity.com it's about $450 U.S.



For the record, I've never owned anything this nice to smoke out of (or drive for that matter).

This is my bong- it's a great one because it's got no color, and no words on it. It's 7mm thick in the tube, jointed glass (no rubber or metal anywhere), and has an ice-catch and a diffuser stem. All it needs is the ash-catcher, but I'm currently boycotting the company that makes it so I might never get one.

the bowl goes thought that tube it's in...smoke goes down the line merging into each red tube until It gets to the back two..which go into the main tube...

the two on the front seem to be support...

I think I might learn to do some work with acrylic... so I can make myself a decent bong.

I've actually briefly wondered if I could start my own head shop, since around here we don't seem to have any of them.

I don't really smoke, but:



Designed for up to two users and is the first of my bongs to feature moving parts. It has a remote lighting/carb system controlled by two levers. The acrylic tubes are transparent blue. Other pieces are made out of translucent blue and blue mirror plexiglass.

Users inhale from the two tall tubes at the rear of the pipe. The bowl is contained in the large horizontal unit at the front. There is a second unit at the heart of the piece which has two levers. One lever activates a lighter in the front unit, the other releases a carb.

Smoke travels from the long tube in the front unit to the two shorter elevated tubes. Then it moves out of the front unit and into the small upright blue tubes (where it is filtered by water), through black tubes in the central unit, and finally into the tall blue tubes at the rear.



The front unit holds the bowl, lighter, and carb. The close-up below shows a detail of the bowl and lighting aparatus. Extra bowls and a stash box are stored below the lighter.


The carb is a stopper which pulls out from the rear of the horizontal tube to allow additional air to flow through the bong.


This photograph shows the central unit. Note the levers at the top which activate the lighter and the carb.

Sure as fuck would take a lungfull for the smoke to even get to you, though. That's the kind of bong where the person getting greens wouldn't have enough lung space left to clear it.

diffusers make a bunch of little bubbles insted of a few bigger bubbles thus the smoke is a bit cooler the goal is to reduce the heat enough to not burn your lungs and shit or something. magic glass makes great shit for a great price. Mine is preaty big and is only 100$ + 50$ 3 day shipping from germany.

The Roor Bong Diffuser option is an additional downtube with a bottom that is pierced with small holes, diffusing the smoke particles as they rise to offer a smoother smoking experience.

would be custom blown fro ma kid i know. Thick glass (atleast 7mm). All clear, with the kids signature (three marbles done in a certain style) level with the bowl, on the side of the bong. The neck would have some nice style to it.. not exactly sure what though. Either a twist or a few narrowing sections.... Not a zig-zagged neck. I think those look retarded. Maybe the only style on the nect would be the kick back that it would have :wink:. Also it would have ice notches, or if it narrowed / had a twist, the style would be funtional as it would act as an ice pinch...

The base would be huge, allowing for tons of water + crushed ice.



That one is my semi-realistic dream bong.


My REAL dream bong is something like this:

Well, one time i was down in Florida with the fam. I was walking around downtown of some small ass town in southern fla, and walked into this cool looking antique store. Well, inside they had this really cool glass table.... The frame was metal, but the top was glass. Also, there were all these glass shapes and stuff hanging below the glass, attached by a glass rod..... It was like an "artsy" table or something. Anyway, i really wanted to buy it and find a way to make it into a bong... It was totaly do-able... Most of the things below the glass top were hollow.... Man... i wanted to buy it, but i was only 16 at the time, so it would have been hard to explain to the parents why i needed to spend $150 on some functional artwork.

Does anybody on here actually prefer the "shotgun" hole on the back on their bong . . . or does everybody like the standard "pull carb".

I've never actually smoked out of any bong other than a pull carb, but it seems like the shot gun hole would be easier to clear. But, then again I love crushed ice in the bong and maybee the shotgun wouldn't give you as cool of a hit?

I prefer the shotgun hole, to be honest. None of the ghetto bongs I have ever made would ever have a pull-out bowl. It's just akward to me. And I don't like it one bit.

I'd really like to smoke out of a bong with a shotgun hole before I commit to buying one. I'd hate to spend over 50 bucks on a bong, take it home and realize I hate it. (Although I've done that before).

It's a shame you can't just "rent" a bong to try out before you buy it . . . most of my smoking buddies are the blunt or bowl type, and none are really into bongs. It takes a special kind of person to fully appericate the power of a bong. Any idiot can go "roofus blow me a shot gun". . .

dude, shotgun for sure. i went to a headshop a few weeks ago, and then i noticed none of their bongs had that nice little thumb hole. i asked if they had any and they said no.
and out the door i went  :blush:

people out here refer the "hole" as a carb and a pull carb is refered to as a slide. i own a blue dot bong just like e-chode but its not a beaker bottom. i got mine for 180. and i used to have a 340 dollar roor my parents got me but it broke :frown: but this blue dot has exceeded my epectations of it even tho i dont smoke anymore. 2 months sober!

the 19mm size joint refeers to the diamiter of the steam/bowl. Standard usa sizes are something like 9mm 12mm 16mm. Standard usa glass on glass sizes are 99% of the time 14.5mm. German glass on glass starts at 14.5mm,18.8mm,19mm,21mm. Mind you that 18.8 should be big enough to fit most poeples thumb. This is a most awsome feture of the glass on glass bongs. The biggest I ever seen on a standerd pull carb was probly close to 18mm it was called SkyGlass. I hate how on american bongs even the big 12mm always get cloged after like a 1/2oz or two of smokeing. I smoke about 3/4's of a oz every two weeks me and my girl freind that is and it is nearly impossible to clog a 18.8mm joint. If you have on of those protractors or what ever thos math kids had in school that can draw a perfect circle then make one that is 9mm and that is standard usa size. then draw one that is 18.8. and compare. Since we now live in the future there should be a program that dose that for you.

I had been using this bad boy for awhile, it eventually was knocked over and the glass around the down stem broke, but its bar none the best bong ive had the pleasure of using.
