 how can i quickly evaporate naphta?

How may i evaporate my dmt containing naphta down to a smaller volume? would simply leaving it out in an open tray work? what if i heated it, how would that speed the process up? i dont want to destroy any of the dmt in the naphta. any one have any advice. thanks.

Just leave it in the open. Heat should help speed it up...but keep in mind this is flammable stuff you are heating.

Heat it with a warm water bath. Even if you don't want to heat it, putting it in a room temperature water bath will help. Heating shouldn't hurt anything though, keep in mind ayahuasca is sometimes boiled for hours.

i agree i use a hot water bath all the time, a pressure cooker with the lid off also works well, just make sure to use the insert so the glass container does not touch the bottom. The safest is to use a crock pot outside but i have used all three and they are relativity safe.

I would say don't evaporate it but freeze precip your crystalls out of the napatha and pour it off. Results in a purer product that way.

Yeah, do both. Evaporate down to maybe a quarter of your original volume of naphtha to super-saturate, then freeze precipitate.
That way you get something like this:

Just put under a fan on low overnight, maybe a bit longer, depending how much volume you're talking about.

I know I could do it without lab equipment, but monetary priority for me is purchasing lab equipment. At the least a separatory funnel bigger than 500mL. Otherwise I'd go buy the solvents and just do it with household items.
But I'm an amateur chemist, I sort of demand high standards for myself as far as quality of equipment goes.

I hear ya, I have a small lab myself. 4000ml (just over 1 gallon) separatory funel, 4000ml flasks, 4000ml Buchner Funnel and Pump. This works great for 1lb extractions.

Eh I got my lab kit somewhere, specially for DMT  . I remember doing a DMT extraction once.. go tvery little out of it due to small load of MH I had so I had to calculate it differently.. supposedly my jar was to wide so the small layer for my small extract was... well to small to suck up.. shldve had a syringe. I did though get about 1-2 bowls of it out . In all I was happy. When evaporating i tin a tray it's best I heard you cover the tray but allow air to come through it.. it helps with the dust and such.

i have set the pickle jar (about 500ml of naphta id say) out for 4 days and its evaporated probably somwhere between 5 and 10 percent. i also set the jar in a hot near boiling water bath for 3 hours and little evap occured. what should i do.
