Are you talking book or film?

books are always better, if I read it maybe I can get past the totally unrealistic depiction of the effects of drugs that the movie showed.

Being that all drug experiences are subjective and you can never know if someone experiences a drug, any drug, the same exact way you do...especially psychedelics...I dunno if you can say that about the film.

Especially since it had Hunter's seal of approval.

Which drug's effects were unrealisticly depicted?

I guess there's no point in arguing.  I just thought the movie was terrible,  pretty much everything about it, the movie.  I just followed the link above to the book and read a few pages and to be honest i'm interested in reading it now, but, to me, the movie was so annoying I could barely stand it.  There's no way you can depict a drugs effect on film, so all the drug sequences looked like shitty special effects.  Throughout the movie they just got fucked up, but I didn't buy that they were.  It felt artificial.  It was a piece of shit. (IMO )

I know that sometimes when I am high  on crack or shrooms or what ever drug I decided to eat on any given day. Parts of it can be totally anoying. Like once I droped 10$ worth of meth on the carpet and I spent 5hrs looking for it. I am sure in that five hrs I could have made 10$ some how and bought more dope. Another example of how drug induced lifes can sometimes be anoying is  once when I ate some pink elephants The indains on the wall started fighting with the cowboys. So I watched that then all the sudden some one took me to some sort of white walled sancutary. I didnt get to finish waching the indains fight. A few seconds later some one knocked the door in the white room led to front door I ansewerd it an no one was there. Things like that happend all night and was rather anoying. Even more so that I knew that I was alone. My point beings that you mix  drugs with more drugs and your bound ot be anoyed  little bit. I mean how would you like to be driving down route 66 and all of the sudden a swarm of bats attacked you.

I liked it. The Johnny Depp version was very true to the book, unlike "Where the Buffalo Roam"......

yes it does suck in comparison to Depp's version, especially if you saw the censored version where they cut ALL the drugs scenes, making him look like a total lush.....
