Ok to make jars and sterilize a few days later?

Hey.
I'm getting ready to do about 24 pint jars.. 12 with BRF/Verm/H20, and 12 with PDA+Y. I wont be getting my pressure cooker for another 4-5days, is it ok to batch up the brf/verm/water and get it all in the jars, and sterilize when i receive the pressure cooker? i'm also using the pda method, but without petri dishes.. i plan on using pint jars... same question with those. can it wait?? as long as the jars inside exposed glass is wiped with lysol or another disinfectent i dont see why i couldnt wait just do it now... or will i start growing contams before i even sterilize in the first place.... anyone done this before?? think it should be ok? thanks...

In theory there should be no problem with that.
Even if as you say, you are jarring up contams and growing them, so long as you pressure cook it as per directions they will all die anyways.

yes contams can grow before you sterilize or nobody would sterilize there jars but as for using pints for agar its going to be a real pain to cut out pieces and do your transfers...i would definately just go ahead and get some petris or if they are unavailable to you halfpints are a good substitute because they are still shallow enough to work well

It's BETTER to wait at least a few days to shoot up the jars. Most containaments will show themselves within 3-4 days.

And dont let anyone tell you that one cant sucessfully inoculate "old" jars. I have seen PF stlye jars that were 3-4 MONTHS old till they were sucessfully conlinized.
