crumbling cakes????

is they mycel. all the way through the jar or just on the layer next to the glass? i feel like there's not enough mycel. all the way through? is it just in my head? is this a common thought for first timers? sorry for being a pain....

It should run all the way through the cake. When the jar looks like it is colonized all the way around the glass and from top to bottom wait several more days, contams often come from the inside not being colonized completely..It is easier to fight a contaminated cake or cake if the contams start on the outside, but if the cake is contaminated within , caused from lack of colonization you will lose the battle..
