here come the pins!

ok guys, here's the deal. while impatiently waiting for my jars
to be delivered from homecanningsupply.com, i cleaned the
blackberry jam out of a couple of 1/2 pint jelly jars(smaller
dia. and taller) and practiced for the big day. the jars came
two days later and over two weeks the wide mouths passed
the jelly jars. i cold shocked and birthed the wide mouths
yesterday hoping to trip next weekend (already made plans
but no pins yet). tonight i noticed one of my tall jars in pinning
like hell all the way round. the problem is it hasn't quite
covered the bottom(top) yet with growth, looks like one or
two more days. i'm dying to let these babies out for a breath
and stretching room. with next saturday in mind, would I be
better of to birth them and brand(scorch) the uncolonized
spot or be patient and try not to think about it. Do you think the
other pins will show up two days behind the tall jars since
they've already been birthed? please help and thanks in
advance!
peace

no, they're seasonal here. checked wal-mart, k-mart,
hardware stores, and grocery stores in three counties.
they all have them in the fall i found one hardare store
that kept quarts year round (for crank labs probably) .
the shipping from southern cal. cost more than the jars !
