Pf-tek newbie help
    #510535 -

Okok, i havnt even started this yet but i need some help already
Anyway, i plan on using the PF-tek (styrofoam cooler for terrarium... And hand spraying cuase i dont have a humidifier) ok anyway here we go.
1) Isn't there a better way to humidify it besides hand spraying /humidifier/fishtank?
2) The guide says i should expect on average 4-6 average sized mushrooms per cake... is this incorrect? It seems like an awfully small amount...
3) What's with this crumbling up cake stuff? Does it produce more? if so, how much should i expect to yield per cake and how do i do it?
Thanks people

Here's some quick answers to your questions:

1) Go buy some Perlite from wallmart. Place that in the bottom of your cooler and poor in water until it gets about half way up the perlite layer.
2) Thats normal. This isn't like growing pot, you aren't gonna get rich off a couple cakes.
3) I think your talking about casings. You would crumble a few cakes (enough to fit your pan/dish/container) and place that evenly over a layer of Vermiculite. Then poor a layer of half vermiculite and half peat moss over your crumbled cakes. Its called a 50/50 casing. Thats just to give you an idea, go read more in the Grow/Find section of this website.
