Do seeds from hermaphrodites usually grow more herms or are the offspring up in the air as usual????? Thanks

damn good question.what i know is...sometimes my friend gts herms when the light cycle is erratic.i dont know if some strains are more sensitive than others to this?is hermaphrodism hereditary or is it enduced later by growing conditions?if a female went herm would it only have femle chromazones.so if it pollinated itself the seeds would all be female?or hermish?

I would think that the seeds would have the same probability of sex as the general population. As far as I know most of the species in which hermaphrodism is abnormal the cause is environmental and not genetic. Although I'm sure there may be a case in which there is a genetic cause for the mutation.

Ok, thanks for the replies, but my friend has found what several of you posted...A hermi-seed does indeed spawn a hermi plant, she told me that all the beautiful plants turned on her at what seemed the last few weeks...................Now the question is, should she continue to grow these plants and possibly havest early before the seeds mature , or try what a friend told her...Mate a hemi with another female and the offspring will produce only female plants? THese are confusing questions but , the unknown hermi strain is terrific, but the seeds nearly equal the smokable volume and the grower is looking for a way to grow(for personal use) a plant without seed and with characteristics of this gene haunting hermi...Thanks for the help!

hmmm....if i were her i would just harvest early, and not bother using the hermi genes for anything, i dont know whether mating the hermi with the female would yeild useable seeds or not, but it just sounds like more trouble than its worth especially if the seeds turn out to be hermis
