What is the average (dry) yield for a quart jar of rye if I were to case?

people ussually get from 4-7 grams from half pints so i would think from 16-28 depending on how much you fill it

How long do quart or evn pint jars take to colonize with compared to half pint jars? Do you have to use more inoculant in them or is 1cc still sufficient?

quart jars of shakeable grain colonize in about 10 days, as opposed to half-pints of PF which take about a month. This is due to the shaking, which distributes the mycelium rapidly.

pf jars typically fully colonize in about 12-14 days.

You can get anything to colonize in 10 days with enough innoculation points, spores, and the right conditions no matter the size of the jar IMHO.

The only problem with larger quantity jars is they are generally harder to compeltly sterilize therefore being more prone to contamination.
