How many cakes should i use for each casing?

How many 1/2 pint jars should i use for each casing. I know it depends on the size of trays, but around how many cakes do u need for each casing?

haven't read the teks yet have you?
say your pan is 8in x 6in. i wuld use one cake or maybe two if i wanted heavier flush. and if i was feeling devilish, i may even use three for a super amount of shrooms. though this may be considered a waste, but if you have plenty of cakes(7-12)....don't worry about it.
