am i a genous?

not likely seeing as i cant spell genous. anyway, i dont have a dehydrator so i took a needle + thread to my shrooms and strung them up. do other people do this? is it better than drying on newspaper?

not the first..
not by a long shot..
the ice man found in the alps (im pretty sure it was that one) had a string of dried mushrooms on him.. ..
but theres good reason why people have been doing it for this long.. it works pretty damn well.. maximum exposeure, especially if with a fan or a good draft.. add a final crisping with some cold dehydrator (well, at least not heat based) and your all good..

Fan dry them for 24 hours.
Dessicant dry them for another 24 hours.

No need for a dehumidifier.

3-4 days in front of a fan set at med., in a dark closet. Good To Go!
