I rather enjoy the tea. I drink it if I'm having an unexpected date with insomnia. It causes nausea aswell in real high doses. One time, I drank a concentrated tea, real fast, and then the room began to spin slightly and I just passed out.

i remember posting about catnip about a year or so ago - maybe longer and i got flamed something shocking. I remember i got one post saying that they had also noticed mild effects and then about 7 people telling me that there was 'NO way' that it has any psychoactive effect. Then the second time i posted about it everyone agreed that it was mildly psychoactive. This irritated me greatly because it does indeed provide a psychoactive effect - for me it slightly relaxing sedating effect and certainly not stimulating - its not particularly pleasant IMO but a definate psychoactive effect none the less.
I would say that for me the effect was more pronounced than Heimia Scalifolia and I got absolutely no effect from a large amount of smoked artemisia Absinthium (wormwood).

I get really nice sedating effects from catnip in tea form, too. Better than a benzo as a sleeping pill, IMHO. Of course, I'm beginning to realize that I generally am more sensitized to the effects of plants than most people, and less sensitized to pharms. Example: Xanex has no effect on me, no matter how much I take.
