First time Cake!

I recently set up my first terrarium and I had one of my cakes from the first batch colonize quite a bit ahead of the others, So I figured to test the terrarium I would throw it in and test it out.
It's made from a Rubbermaid type of container with perlite(water and 5-10%h202) for humidification. I put a hole in the top of the lid, epoxied a piece of plexiglass to the lid, and expose it to about 2 hours of fluroscent light a day. I fan it out a few times a day , And I just recently added a splash shield to help keep the humidity in the mid to low 90's.
I also have a small space heater in the room with a thermostat that I use to keep the terrarium tin the mid to high 70-'s. Usually 76+-1degree.
Anyways Its been a couple of days now, and I havent noticed any change at all in my cake. It hasnt grown any type of fuzz on it, which I believe I read was normal. I cant say it honestly looks any different from the day I put in in.
Is this normal, or does it sound as if something in the setup is wrong?
