Sterilizing/Pasteurizing/Microwave?

I let a friend borrow my pressure cooker and I never got it back.
I currently have a substrate based on the 50/50 tek, with about 5% coco coir added. Would it be enough to microwave this substrate for a total of 10 minutes, as in the 60/40 coco coir tek, or should I just pasteurize the mix in some hot water?

well on the note of microwaves. microwaves vary with power so one mans succes with a micrwave can be another mans failure. your best bet is to get a pc

that's not substrate, that's casing material. Hydrate to field capacity, stick in tupperware, put lid on with some corners cracked, nuke for 5 min, stir, nuke for 5 min again (both times on high). That's it, let it cool and you're set.
