hmmm... trichoderma looks a lot like primordia... what are the effects of it, is it recoverable? I think my girlfriends beaver might have some on it's casings...

Trich is some nasty shit! It will take over any substrate quickly if not taken care of and maybe even if you try to take care of it. I think by the time you can distinguish it, it has already a substantial hold on the substrate. It can be moderately contained. I have been fighting off a case of it for better than a week with moderate success. Be sure to clean any chamber where trich is present afterwards. Here are some pics of trich that developed from being noticed to the present form in about 4 days w/o treatment. I have this cake quarantined and will throw it out. Just having it around is a liability as it will give off millions of spores.

Thanks for posting all these pics joshua. I am sure it will help some newbies that have not yet had to deal with the dreaded green to identify it before it spreads too much.
