Holy fucking shit.
I walked for 25 blocks, got turned down by so many cabs. One tried to charge me double what he should have, to which i replied "Why are you fucking me?" And he told me to go away, to which I replied, "You're a fucking asshole." I love New York.
Finally got a cab. It took me an hour to go 20 blocks.

here is a pic from Penn Station yesterday.. my friend said that it took over an hour just to get through the door...
Penn Station is a LIRR and PATH entrance.. so it's one of the only transit hubs that is still operating.

oh.. and to bike to work.. i had to go from bklyn to queens and then across town... it ended up taking me about an hour each way.
it actually wasn't that bad, though.. and when it's warmer and i have a new bike i'll do it a lot probaqbly.
my bike broke on the way to work on tuesday.. and since i got the bike for free, it wasn't worth it for me to do anything more to it than spend $40 to convert it to a single speed... i got raped on the charge, but the bike store has total power... and my legs and ass are hating me for making them pedal a road bike w/ only one speed several miles up and down hill.

about a month ago i seen some program on discovery channel or something of that sort... it was about the NYC trasportation system... all the rail roads how they were built and how imparative they are to the city... a train ride avrages some 43 miles per hour while the road trafic was 4 miles an hour (or was it 14?) anyway they showed what went down after 9/11 and what's going to be built insted... they're planing some mega train station down there...
it's freaky but i was actualy thinking they might have caused 9/11
NYC just couldn't tick without it's subways!!! or could it?

Today I caved and took a cab to work. 15 dollars, 45 minutes. Last night it took me an hour to get home. It was nice to have pot and whippits waiting.

a city wide public and commercial strike would end this thing in one day...
if people in the city refused to buy anything... go to work... etc...
somebody would have to cave.
