Is it burned substrate or contam? **PICS**

Alright, so I thought my jars were going good till the mycelium started to creep around to the bottom. I cant tell if its a contamination or just burnt substrate because I couldnt see it till it had the white under it. When I birthed a jar that had a larger piece (size of MnM) in the same spot (they're all on bottom ring for some reason) I just gently scraped it off so it was all white. Check it out:

Yea its either piss, or if you used a drill to drill the holes, it might be rust from metal shavings, either way it looks fine to me.

Thank you so much for this genius bit of info! I have been noticed spots that look like that on the bottom of my jar before the myc has even reached it and now I believe that it's the rusting shavings!  Had me worried but since the red spots haven't been growing I believe that it is just rust.  Thanks for saving me time and worrying
