usually, if you see red, it's lipstick mold and most likely will have to be tossed... give it a lil bit longer, if the red expands, bye bye cake

one of my friends is a paratrooper, he was once told "they make parachutes in many colors, but none of which is sky blue...." this only relates in the fact that mycelium does not come in a red variety in P. Cubensis mushrooms (i don't know if other fungiis mycelium might come in different colors, one of the more experienced can fill in that blank )
