Darn, My dreams of falling in love with a mycologist are thrown out again.
He is a very lucky man and a very good one too.
Also I would love to read a trip report especially the orissa.

No "mycologist" am I. Just a good study.
Follow the archives, posts by Anno, Roadkill, Workman, Mycofile, agar & all the other well respected members. And, you can hardly go wrong.
Once you have a basic understanding of what you want to do, and how. It helps greatly to keep detailed notes. Then, from those notes, work out a plan to proceed by. Acquire the needed materials, things, tools, equipment, and organize a clean space for them.
Once you have that space, and those essentials well organized. Simply follow your notes. If you run into a problem. It also helps to cultivate a mentor or two, you can PM with questions.
Then, follow the your plan. I did. It worked out well. It should work out well for anyone, with patience, and a plan to follow.
BTW, the world is full of talented females. Keep looking, and hopefully the right one will cross your path. When she does, don't hesitate, as most men do.

My apologies but I was complimenting your myco-skills with a humor sense that insinuates that women who grow mushrooms are level headed. A percentage of women are not so groovy and would either not be interested in such a hobby and/or disapprove.
Also, I am some what experienced in the study of mushrooms(mostly psilocybe), have made plans, and have followed through on both sides of the fence;in the past.
btw you should put the part about the planning, understanding and executing in your log. It should be archived as it is very helpful.

Unbelievable for a first attempt, I hope mine turns out half as good but I'd be satisfied with much less.
I'm very interested in a first flush weight when its time to harvest them. Keep up the good work

Girls never want to tell ANYBODY weight.
More to go. And, second flush is starting to pin on some trays.
I feel almost decadent. Many many thanks to the great guy who tutored me through all this. I wish I could thank you in person (wanna ).

Best of luck and GREAT JOB!
Agreed! Fantastic grow log for sure. It really pays to do your research and reading first. Studying and visualizing the grow with proven data. Very nice write up and 5 mushrooms for you my friend. Very good job indeed!

Yeah very impressive. Just wait till you trip on them. It's quite a trippy concept to think that you're tripping on your own grown shrooms!

Very nice grow!~

I love your attitude also!~
You studied hard and did your homework... Thats what it takes in this hobby...and in other things in life too. You seem like a very bright young lady.

Look forward to seeing more grow logs from you.
