    #5084969 - 12/20/05 06:53 AM (18 years, 3 months ago)

my cat taught himself to pee in the toilet!!

by his own volition, just by watching me.

i think I'm in love with him.

do animals feel love like we do?

i think since there chakras are parallel to the earth surface instead of perpendicular, that it must be a different sort of energy transfer.

No. Cockroaches and planarium and bacterium don't feel anything remotely approaching what a human does.

I think since there {sic} chakras are parallel to the earth surface instead of perpendicular...

Yes I think dogs are one of the best examples of animals that display mothering, protective and washing (?) behaviour.

we are the same as cats and pandas etc.
(less so with cackaroachas)
but humans can bring fire from the mountain of one moment down to the people below in other moments.
the cats look on in awe,
but they are dignified about it and will turn away - as if,
they are following scents we can barely consider.

That is awesome. Love that cat. I think that love is behind creation and so each thing has some aspect of love in its being, including the rocks that make up the great mother earth. We as humans may not be aware of all these aspects of love and so can rightly say, no a rock does not have love. Yet I can feel what I call love, coming from rocks and animals.

I was watching a show last night which was centralized around heroic rescues that have happened. The most amazing and bizzarre incident was when a lady's cat began to choke on its own flea collar, while there was no one home to help it. Guess what the cat did?

It called 911.

The dispatcher was interviewed and recollected the memory of it - all she heard was frantic meowing from a cat. Deputy Joe Bamford went to the address to investigate, forced his way inside the house and saved the cat, named "Tipper", from its own entanglement.

They showed the phone, it was one of those kinds that you see in offices with a loud-speaker on it, with a large array of buttons on it. It may have been a speed-dial set for 911 that the cat dialed - "accidentally" or what.

Amazing, and thought-provoking.

Quote:

Although we assume that a cat?s purr is an expression of pleasure or is a means of communication with its young, perhaps the reasons for purring can be deciphered from the more stressful moments in a cat?s life. Cats often purr while under duress, such as during a visit to the veterinarian or when recovering from injury. Thus, not all purring cats appear to be content or pleased with their current circumstances. This riddle has lead researchers to investigate how cats purr, which is also still under debate.
Scientists have demonstrated that cats produce the purr through intermittent signaling of the laryngeal and diaphragmatic muscles. Cats purr during both inhalation and exhalation with a consistent pattern and frequency between 25 and 150 Hertz. Various investigators have shown that sound frequencies in this range can improve bone density and promote healing.

This association between the frequencies of cats' purrs and improved healing of bones and muscles may provide help for some humans. Bone density loss and muscle atrophy is a serious concern for astronauts during extended periods at zero gravity. Their musculo-skeletal systems do not experience the normal stresses of physical activity, including routine standing or sitting, which requires strength for posture control.

Does this mean that if I lay on my belly long enough I will start to feel like a cat?

"No. Cockroaches and planarium and bacterium don't feel anything remotely approaching what a human does."

True, but this does not exclude higher functioning animals from experiencing emotions such as love, happiness, or empathy. Man is, after all, only an animal.

I believe at this point that he must have a schizoid personality disorder.

yes
pain with hatred and fear of impeachment
pain and embarrassement for being an idiot in the history books
pain and greed and guilt for sending the boys there for oil
these are his human feelings for his fellow man
but he seems to have no inspired feelings or love for anything
ahh, maybe he is a cockroach after all.

He is afraid.

Can you picture him before his Parents got done? A loving baby boy whos emotional needs were ignored I would guess. He is too afraid to risk surrender into love. His protective personality structure cannot risk being abandoned again.
