Homemade Bong! (Ghetto W/ Pics)

So, I've been hanging onto a few of these cd spindles for a while now, without really knowing why... until a few days ago!

I was saving them to make a GHETTO BONG!

So, this is a really simple process, with really cheap parts. As you can see, by flipping it upside down, the clear cover becomes a clear water reservoir. All you need to do is cut (preferably saw) the hollow stick that runs up the middle of all the cds and you have a stem that provides air from the top down under the surface of the water:

I personally chose to drill 3 holes to use for hoses. The clear plastic containers with lids that you see are actually small plastic vials, which i drilled out to form connectors. There was no adhesive of any sort used, i just gently worked at the holes until they were just big enough to fit the vials through. They form a very snug fit.

Next, we just attach the hoses and we're set to go:

You'll notice that again, I used drilled out plastic vials to end off the $2 of clear tubing (three lengths of 3 foot). Now, to cap off an un-used line, all you do is pop the vial's cap back in.

Also to notice is that on most 100-cd spindles, they usually place a clear cd on top as a protector (at least the imation ones do), If you look in at the surface of the water, you'll see I used two zip ties to secure it in place. essentially there is a clear disc sitting on the surface of the water, which prevents water from entering into the tubes.

Fill with water or ice.

All that you need to do is grab an appropriately sized one-hitter or slide and place it in the center column, light up and inhale

This is a really cheap, easy thing to put together if you're broke or have never tried out a waterpipe before, especially if you have any parts lying around for the hosing/connectors. As I was saying, I have about 4 spindles laying around currently, so, if the clear water reservoir starts to get gross, throw it out and replace it with another spare... if the tubing starts to res up, cut a little length off or replace it all for two bucks...
