2Cx Serotonin Depletion

Can anyone tell me whether the 2C class of phethylamines causes Serotonin depletion?
I don't see how they can but I would like to know for sure so I can make an informed decision on whether I should try them.

Well, first off, that would be generalizing a large amount of drugs. They all have very different effects.
Secondly, I'm sure serotonin usage differs from your standard, everyday life on these chemicals. After all, these are psychedelic drugs. Perhaps you'll feel rushes of serotonin, perhaps not. I don't think enough research at all has been done on even some of the most common chemicals, much less these unscheduled ones. But even with acid you'll feel waves of happiness, or other emotions.
But perhaps you're asking if it depletes it in the sense that MDMA is capable of. In that case, I think for many of them it is safe to say: no. Perhaps someone else has more information, but I haven't heard this raised as much of a concern before. Again, lots of research needs to be done on these chemicals before we can have a concrete answer.

Phenethylamines in general are very hard on my body, on the other hand tryptamines seem to restore my body.

said something very similar to that^^^^

A very nice quotation... though I'm not sure it answers the question. hehe...
It makes me wonder why Shulgin wrote his PEA book first. Perhaps because of his early work at Dow Chemical, and one of his earliest creations: DOM. Or perhaps it is a result of his fascination in cacti.

The question of serotonin depletion i guess could be likened to other psychedlics for generalization. Other than that would refer to specifc substances, of which of course little is known.
Serotonin does not exactly deplete with psychedelics, although they can (potentially) alter release as well as receptor sensitivity.

Most hallucinogens increase brain concentrations of serotonin and/or decrease its turnover. I don't think it's appropriate to label this mechanism as serotonin depletion however.
