If I Grab a chunk out of a 3rd flush cake placed it in a jar and poured the vermiculture mix over the top, then sealed it, would this work? (all would be sterilised)

C'mon, give uz a hand here. If i break a bit off, chuck it in a jar and let it spread just like using syringes.

Yes. Fisrt sterilize jar, then put the mycellium in the jar seal and wait. Take care of sterility when inoculating.
