Dark Chocolate.
    #5060963 - 12/14/05 03:46 AM (18 years, 3 months ago)

Anyone else here like Dark, high coaco count chocolate? It seems like everyone I know hates the stuff.. and all I can think usually about that is "Thats ok. More for me."

I love the taste of it.. rolling a peice in your mouth until it overrides your bitter sensors, and it starts to taste sweet... and after you eat it, you never get that disgusting sugar rot taste that you get with regular chocolate.. just pure deliciousness.

Dark Chocolate

Once in awhile I will have a dark chocolate craving...

good milk chocolate (Not hersheys, or something) is so much better though!

I positively love dark chocolate. Normal chocolate does seem to leave the aftertaste of sugar, which I never understood. But good dark chocolate just leaves a faint pleasant aftertaste.

I also like white chocolate though, which is really nothing but cacao butter with sugar mixed into it. Technically its not even chocolate.

I love it. I eat Lindt 99% every day. Once you get used to the 99%, you can't eat anything else .

The highest I've found is 85%.. where do you buy 99%? I've never ever seen it anywhere.

It's nice cuz you cant eat a whole thing of it. Milk chocolate is so addictive you end up eating the whole thing and then feeling all bleh. At least with the Gourmet Shit you have one square and that satisfies the chocolate cravings for liek half an hour.

I buy it at the supermarket. This is in Europe though. The only brand commonly found in supermarkets here that goes up to 99% is Lindt. In specialty chocolate and candy stores there are several brands of 99%.

I think that's just a bit wrong personally...I mean, they will never be up to the standard of the classy green and gold packaged originals, they just look all wrong!

Yeah, it's all wrong. The original is far better. I'm not that big of an After Eight fan though, but you don't want to hurt grandmas feelings!

I had a Mint version of the Terry's chocolate orange the other day
Looked the same in segments etc. It was lovely. Not as nice as the orange one though.
