saving 2nd flush (verticilium)
    #5051592 - 12/12/05 09:46 AM (18 years, 2 months ago)

well, ive looked up the source of my crappy 1st flush on my 2 casings and it's indeed verticilium. brown streaks were the symptom.

however, id love to save the 2nd and 3rd flushes if it is at all possible.

the problem is, the only way i can decrease humidity in my martha is by turning off the coolmist (the ultrasonic is already off and was the cause of the problem, along with a FUCKING INNACURATE $20 HYGROMETER!!!)

so if you guys have any suggestion on how to save the 2nd flushes (if its possible) i would really appreciate it.

also, would I just spray the whole martha setup with h202 and water to disinsect it? (i have a 3rd and final casing that is still incubating)

update:

the big boys seem to have recovered. much of the brown streaking is gone (due to lowered humidity) and now the caps are open and later on tonight i will harvest. ill make pics while doing so and hopefully someone will be able to tell me if they are edible or not.
